Insurance

I am not in network with insurance but am happy to provide you with a superbill so that you can seek reimbursement with your insurance company. Payment is collected at the end of our sessions, and I accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA. All insurance companies and policies are different in their approach to reimbursement for out of network services, so I would recommend giving them a call to ask about what your benefits are. If you have any questions let me know and we can chat through the process together.

FAQS

  • When I am accepting new clients, I aim to have your first appointment scheduled within a week. Please note that I do not provide crisis intervention services.

  • I begin with weekly sessions for at least the first 4-6 weeks. This allows us to really get to know each other and find our rhythm. I encourage open communication throughout our work together, and we will have conversations surrounding frequency as we go.

Regarding duration, that is entirely based on your needs. I have had individuals find the relief and progress that they seek in 6 sessions, and I have also seen clients for years. We will find what works for you together, and we have the freedom to do so.

  • My practice is based in Columbus, Ohio, and I offer both in-person sessions for locals and online via my secure telehealth platform (Simple Practice) on your computer or smart phone for clients across the state of Ohio. There are benefits to both settings, and what matters is what feels best to you.

For telehealth, I recommend finding a quiet, cozy, and confidential spot for our sessions. Or the drivers seat of your car in the parking lot of your choice. Children are always welcome as we certainly do not need another barrier to accessing the care you need, however it can also be nice for you to have 5o minutes of time dedicated solely to you.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

●       You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

●       Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

●       If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

●       Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
